Meet The Trainers

Leah – BA, BCRPA PFT/SFL; an elite trainer with over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry and ten years as owner/director of Total Fitness. “My passion and vision are intertwined to deliver a level of commitment to changing people’s lives...one person at a time.” ‘Whatever your 100% looks like, give it!’

 


JoAnn – BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer and Fit Flow Yoga Instructor; JoAnn ventured into the fitness industry seven years ago and developed a passion for figure competitions. The drive, determination and dedication that is required to get her to the National level, is demonstrated in her training protocol and rapport with clients. “Believe in yourself and your goals; because you CAN!”


Josie – BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor who has been with Total Fitness for six years. She instructs Total Fitness Bootcamps and the exclusive Sweat ‘n Sculpt classes. She is currently in the process of acquiring the ‘Precision Nutrition Certificate’ for nutritional coaching to enhance her personal training expertise. Josie feels that clients hire trainers not just for exercise but to help them change the way they look and feel. She strives hard to deliver a ‘body transformation’.


Brendan – B. HKIN, BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer Brendan is a university graduate with experience in all aspects of training. He currently teaches bootcamp and works with a diversity of clients. Brendan is an elite level trainer who is qualified to do active rehabilitation such as those referred by other health care professionals. He heads up the Sport Specific Team Training at Total Fitness; off season conditioning sessions for teams of 15 or more.


Jennifer – BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer Jen is excited about building her training clientele. She runs the exclusive ‘Totally Toned’ program which is geared towards women new to weight training. Being four years into the fitness industry, Jen empathizes with the overwhelming feeling of starting a new exercise routine. You can meet with her on Tuesday nights at 5:30 for the ‘Gym Rats Intro.’ “Can’t get to where you want to be until you take the first step.”


Trevor – BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer is looking forward to entering the training world. He has been involved in fitness for the past 4 years, but actively participated in a variety of team sports from a young age. Trevor gets more gratification from seeing other people achieve their fitness goals, rather than thinking of it as a job. “There are a thousand excuses for any failure, but never a good reason!”

What To Expect

Each training session is one hour in length and instructed by a certified personal trainer. We make every attempt to align the needs of the client with the appropriate trainer based on availability, skill set, personality type or price point. The sessions are generally one on one; however, there are options to train in small or large groups. You can expect to have the highest quality programming in a relaxed and fun environment. Each exercise program is tailor made to address your specific health and fitness goals, while offering a challenge.
